A section of the spiral on the 50ft reel consistently fails when printed in PETG. This has been happening across different versions. It does not occur on the example ABS and PLA prints, but it would be trivial to increase the thickness of the outer spiral for the last 1/2 turn so that it prints without "stringing" and breaking.
Examining this now as a side effect of a printer defect. Using the stock tubing on the Bowden extruder for the Creality Ender 5 Plus, there were issues with layer adhesion that were not present after switching to Capricorn PTFE tubing and a new metal extruder component. This means that the model might not have to be re-enforced but further testing is needed.
Does not need to be re-enforced. Was happening due to suboptimal slicer settings. Closing.
